Kelarai - Mangaluru, Nov 30 : "SPECTRUM 2024" was held on November 24th, 2024 at 8:30 am at the Kelarai Church Hall for all the youth of St Anne parish, Kelarai. The program commenced with a prayer song led by the ICYM members. ICYM Kelarai unit president, Roopesh Dsouza, warmly welcomed the gathering. The Parish Priest of Kelarai, Rev. Fr. Sylvester D'Costa, presided over the inaugural ceremony and delivered a motivating presidential address. Alisha Crasta, the Secretary, expressed gratitude to all on behalf of the organizers.

After the inaugural programme Ashlin Dsouza, Secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, conducted engaging ice-breaking sessions to energize the youth. A special Youth Mass was held in the church for all participants.

Guest Speakers and Sessions:
* Dr. Mona Jacqueline Mendonca (HOD, Dept. of History, St. Aloysius University) Social media and its impacts.
* Rev. Fr. Alwyn D'Souza (Director, Family Life Center) Marriage and happy family .
* Mr. Desmond Fernandes, Session On visa to US for higher studies.
These esteemed resource persons shared their knowledge and insights through impactful sessions, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds.

The afternoon saw the youth actively participate in fun-filled games and entertainment activities, fostering a spirit of camaraderie.

Visit by ICYM Mangalore Diocese Executive Committee: Adding to the program's significance was a visit by the ICYM Mangalore Diocese Executive Committee, led by Director Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, President Winston Sequeira, and other esteemed members.

Total 100 youth of the parish participated in the program. The program culminated in a lively baila session at 3:30 PM, leaving the participants with a memorable and joyful experience. Overall, SPECTRUM 2024 successfully provided a platform for Kelarai's youth to connect, learn, and celebrate their spirit.
