Omzoor , Nov 7, 2024 : International Men’s Day, celebrated on 19th November is a fitting tribute to all the men for their dedication and sacrifice in their family and society. It is a day to celebrate men, celebrate their success and let them know how important they are in the social, economical and cultural spheres.

On the occasion of International Men’s Day, Catholic Sabha, Omzoor Unit organized men’s day celebration on 17th November. The celebration began with Solemn Eucharistic Celebration at 7.30am which was celebrated by Fr William Menezes, Parish Priest.

A get together was organized in Sabha Bhavan at 9.00am. The program began with a prayer song.

Fr William Menezes in his presidential speech stressed on the importance of family life, mental health and the key role that a man places in his family and the society. He emphasized that every man should lead a meaningful life and be a role model to their families.

Thereafter, various cultural and fun activities were also organized. The enthusiastic men with their infectious energy lit up the event. Babitha Fernandes, Vinita Saldanha and Froidy Saldanha conducted various fun games and activities.

Fr William Menezes, Parish Priest; Mr. Arthur Dsouza, Vice-President of PPC; Dafny Lewis, Secretary of PPC, Elroy Saldanha, Co-ordinator of all church Commissions; Sr Luciana Fernandes, Superior of St. Charles Borromeo Convent were present to grace the occasion.

Glevita Dsouza compered the event. Roylin Saldanha, secretary of Catholic Sabha, Omzoor presented vote of thanks. Around 50 men actively participated in the program.

Beautiful ladies of Catholic Sabha, Omzoor Unit conducted a well organized event to celebrate Men's Day which they will cherish forever.
