Mangaluru, Nov 2 : The Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore Province BLA Convention was held on 31st October 2024 in Bethany Provincialate, Vamanjoor with great enthusiasm and spiritual fervor. The Theme of the Convention was “A day with RFC Mascarenhas our Founder.” Around 320 BLA members from 26 units left an indelible mark in the history of the Province. A cordial welcome was extended by the members of Rosa Mystica Convent, Kinnikambla unit. Sr Lilly Pereira BS, the President of the programme and representatives of BLA Units lit the Diya ushering in a spirit of warmth and welcome. Floral tribute was offered to Servant of God RFC Mascarenhas, the revered Founder showcasing deep respect and gratitude for his visionary leadership. Sr Lilly Pereira the Provincial Superior and the President of the programme boosted the spirit of BLA members with her thought-provoking session. She invited the BLA members to possess a pastoral heart overflowing with deep compassion and love. She highlighted the life of the Founder the compassionate Pastor. She sowed the seed of zeal in the hearts of all BLA members.

Four BLA members namely Mrs Irine DSouza from Permannur, Mrs Anitha Colaso, Mrs Felcy Pinto and Jochim Dsouza from Vamanjoor gave testimony of the special favour they received through the intercession of the Servant of God Fr RFC Mascarenhas.

The adoration conducted by Sr Shalet DSouza left a profound impact on the BLA members. The spiritual journey with the Founder was brought to its culmination by offering Eucharistic celebration officiated by Fr Anil SVD, from Divine Retreat Center, Mulki. Melodious choir of Santa Cruz Convent, Kulshekar and Liturgy led by Lourdes Convent, Kanajar and Holy Family Convent, Nirkan lifted their hearts to God.

There were various competitions conducted to all the BLA Units prior to the Convention. The winners were awarded with prizes. Sr Flavia Wilma, the Province BLA Coordinator with heart full of gratitude thanked the BLA Animators and members for keeping it aflame their zeal for Bethany. She applauded them saying “You are the crown and joy of Bethany.”She invited them to continue to share the joy of the Lord through Bethany. The BLA unit of Regina Caeli Convent, Ranipura thanked everyone for making the Convention an experiential one.

After the closure of the Convention 12 BLA units moved to Fr RFC Mascarenhas, the Founders Cottage, Bendur to have a personal experience with the Founder and Sr Hilerita briefed them regarding the Founder’s Memorial. They spent quiet moments at Founder’ Cottage and returned to their homes. A day's journey with Founder to all BLA members has increased their love for Founder and they carried along his memories as their compassionate Father.
