Kinnikambla - Mangaluru, Oct 30 : On October 30, 2024, Rosa Mystica PU College came alive with energy and enthusiasm as it celebrated its much-anticipated ‘Sports Fiesta 2024’, with a tagline “Unite, Compete, Celebrate.” This vibrant event brought together students, staff, and esteemed guests for a day filled with sportsmanship and camaraderie.

The ceremony was presided over by Sr. Roselyta, who proudly hosted the college flag. In her inspiring address, she emphasized the significance of sports in students’ lives, stating, “This is a momentous event in the journey of our students.” Her words resonated with the audience as she highlighted the myriad benefits of engaging in sports, from building teamwork skills to promoting overall well-being.

Rev. Fr. Siby Kaitharan MI, Director of Snehasadana, marked the occasion with the lighting of the Olympic Torch, blessing the event and wishing for its success. His presence added a special touch to the celebrations, reflecting the spirit of unity and aspiration.

Ln. Mahesh Shetty, President of the Lions Principal OM Janahithaya Eng Med School, and the President of Lions Club Kaikamba, received a guard of honor and spoke passionately about the role of sports in fostering health and resilience. He congratulated the participants and encouraged them to embrace the spirit of competition with joy and determination.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, Sr. Leena Pereira, Superior of Rosa Mystica Convent, unfurled the pigeons and officially launched the ‘Sports Fiesta 2K24’ banner. The students showcased their talents through exhilarating cheerleading drills, filling the day with enthusiasm and cheer.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Sr. Dr. Sadhana, Principal of Rosa Mystica PU College, who expressed gratitude to all attendees for their support. Mr. Amcil, the Physical Director, also shared his appreciation for everyone’s contributions to making the event a success. Mrs Esha and Mrs Sujatha, compered the programme.

The Sports Fiesta 2024 not only celebrated athletic prowess but also fostered a sense of community and school spirit among the students. As the day concluded, it was clear that this event had left a lasting impact, encouraging students to embrace the values of unity, competition, and celebration in their lives.
