Nirkan - Bantwal, Oct 7, 2024 : The Catholic Sabha unit of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan organized a vehicle blessing program on October 6 at Nirkan School Ground, following the morning Mass.

Rev. Fr. Leo William Lobo, the parish priest, conducted the blessing ceremony and prayed for the safety of drivers, owners, and all travelers.

Notable attendees included Vincent Bennis, vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council; Stany Lobo, immediate past president of the Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh; Austin Lobo and Alphonse Fernandes, secretary and treasurer of the Catholic Sabha Bantwal Deanery, respectively; Shanthi Veigas, secretary of the Catholic Sabha Nirkan unit, along with other office bearers.

The event featured participation from drivers, vehicle owners, and parishioners. Melwin D’Souza, president of the Catholic Sabha Nirkan Unit, welcomed the attendees and conveyed a vote of thanks to everyone present.
