Bola - Bantwal, September 23, 2024 : The ICYM unit of St Lawrence Church, Bola joyfully celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as Mother Mary’s birthday, with heartfelt enthusiasm. It was a special occasion for the youth to come together in honoring her birth.

The celebration commenced with a lively procession by offering flowers to mother Mary and followed by mass at 8.00 am. Following the feast mass the ICYM members gathered together for a group photo.

In the evening all ICYM members reconvened for “NOVE JEVAN”. All ICYM and YCS members took active part in the program.

The program started with group activity which was conducted by ICYM Animator Mr Sachin D Souza where all the youths had fun and enjoyed the group activity.

There was a stage program which was hosted by Prinisha D Souza, treasurer, ICYM Bola unit. Teena Dsa ICYM president of Bola unit extended a warm welcome to distinguished guests on the dais. The guests included Rev Fr Sabu Kottarapallil Provincial Superior of Bangalore Claretians province, Rev Fr Fredrick Correa Parish priest of Bola, Rev Fr Michael D Souza, Sachin D Souza vice president of pastoral council and Animator of ICYM Bola, Kreethi D Souza secretary of pastoral council and Animator of YCS Bola, ICYM President Teena Dsa and YCS President Reena Dsa.

The Prayer was led by Rinita Auditor of ICYM Bola unit.

All youths present at the event offered flowers to Mother Mary. New paddy mixed with milk was blessed by Fr Sabu Kottarapallil, then ICYM members distributed milk to all the gathering.

There was cake cutting on the occasion of Mother Mary's birthday.

At last the program was ended with vote of thanks by Jenisha D Souza, Secretary of ICYM Bola who expressed appreciation and gratitude for all the gathering.

Dinner was provided to all the guests and youths which was prepared by ICYM and YCS members. Variety of dishes were there for dinner and all the members in the event enjoyed their meals.

30 youths were present in the program which ended at 8.30 p.m.
