Mangaluru, Oct 1 : On October 1, 2024, St. Theresa's School commemorated its Patron's Day with a deeply moving Eucharistic Mass at St. Sebastian Church, Bendur, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ashwath D'Souza, OCD. In his homily, he reflected on St. Therese's profound devotion through her "little way," where small acts of love illuminated her path to sainthood. The Mass, enriched by the school choir's angelic hymns, left the congregation in a spirit of deep reverence and joy. It concluded with expressions of gratitude from the community.
Following the service, Principal Sr. Lourdes, Vice Principal Sr. Reena, teachers, PTA representatives, and students extended the day's blessings by visiting 20 ashrams and orphanages across Mangaluru, distributing biscuits, rusk, and toast. This outreach, filled with compassion and love for the poor and marginalized, beautifully reflected the values of the school and brought comfort and joy to those in need. The spirit of St. Therese's simplicity and love echoed through every act of kindness, reinforcing the community's deep sense of gratitude and commitment to serving others.
