Fajir - Mangaluru, Sep 7 : On September 1, 2024, the ICYM Fajir Unit hosted a lively and exciting program, "Youth Quest: Exploring Life's Possibilities" at Lady of Mercy Church, Fajir. The day began with a heartfelt prayer led by the ICYM members, setting the tone for a spirit-filled event.

Preevan Apos, President of ICYM Fajir Unit, warmly welcomed the guests and everyone. The dignitaries on stage included the Director Fr. Joseph Mascarenhas, Guest speaker Dr. Mona Mendonsa, Mangalore South Deanery Representative Mr. Avith Lobo, 21 Commissions' Coordinator Mr. Flywan D'Souza, Karnataka Regional Representative Mr. Jaison D'Souza. Mr. Johnson D'Souza and Mr. Jaison D'Souza were felicitated for being elected as Treasurer of Mangalore South deanery and Karnataka Regional Representative of Mangalore diocese respectively.

The program was inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom. Fr. Joseph Mascarenhas shared valuable insights on planning and decision-making, while Mr. Avith Lobo encouraged the youth to take an active role in their life.

Dr. Mona Mendonsa delivered a captivating talk on “Planning of life during its various stages”, offering practical tips and advice. She encouraged everyone to start small and start now. The program also featured engaging games and action songs fostering teamwork, participation and bonding between ICYM and YCS members.

The program was expertly hosted by ICYM member Ms. Anisha D'Souza.

Ms. Roshal Melita Lobo introduced the guest speaker and also expressed gratitude to all involved. As the program came to a close, the participants left with newfound friendships, knowledge and a sense of accomplishment.

With many energetic youth in attendance, the event was a resounding success. The ICYM Fajir Unit thanks everyone who contributed to the program's triumph.
