Kelarai - Mangaluru, Sep 2 : The 'Indian Catholic Youth Movement' of St. Anna Church, Kelarai organized a program called "Gaadyant Gammat" (Fun in the Fields) on Sunday, September 1st, at Kelarai Tharigudde Fields. The event was inaugurated at 9:30 AM with a blessing by the parish priest, Fr. Silvester D'Costa. ICYM coordinator Vinod Periera, Church Managing Committee Vice President Santosh D'Costa, Secretary Celine D'Mello, Fr. Roshan Fernandes, Corporator Raghu Salian, and Jayanthi Devas were among the dignitaries present on stage who lit the lamp to inaugurate the event. The event was enriched by the cooperation of people from all religions.
On this occasion, farmer Jude Cornelio, who has been donating grain for the harvest festival for many years, was honored. Many participated in the 'Pepsi Lucky Draw' and won prizes. Lunch was arranged for all attendees. Various competitions were held from 10 AM to 5 PM, and in the evening, prizes were distributed to the winners during the closing ceremony. The dignitaries present were honored with a memento. Manisha D'Souza welcomed everyone, and Alisha Crasta gave the vote of thanks. The event was compered by Santosh D'Costa and Benoy D'Souza. People of all ages, from children to elders, participated in various competitions and enjoyed themselves in the muddy fields.
