Mulki, Sep 1, 2024 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of the Immaculate Conception Church, Mulki, celebrated Teachers' Day with a heartfelt tribute to the educators of the parish. The celebration began with a Eucharistic Mass, followed by a special program to honor the dedicated teachers.

ICYM President Vallen Joshua D'almeida, opened the ceremony with a warm introduction, expressing deep appreciation for the teachers' invaluable contributions to the community. Lloyd Rodrigues followed by reading out the names of the 35 teachers who have been serving the parish with unwavering commitment.

As a token of gratitude, each teacher was presented with a sapling, a rose, and a personalized card filled with words of appreciation. This gesture symbolized not only the teachers' role in nurturing the minds of the young but also the hope for a future filled with growth and flourishing values.

The offerings during the Mass were presented by the ICYM President and the parish director, Fr. Anthony Shera, who also extended his best wishes to the teachers. Following the Eucharistic celebration and the Novena for the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the group gathered at the church portico for a memorable group photograph, capturing the spirit of unity and gratitude that marked the day.

This celebration was a beautiful reminder of the importance of educators in shaping the future, and the ICYM's initiative was met with great appreciation from the parish community.
