Alangar - Moodbidri, July 29 : With the intention of gathering all the youths of Holy Rosary parish, Alangar , the parish came up with a blast program named "SPARKLE 2024" on 28 July 2024 at 9:30 PM in Alangar School Hall.
On this occasion, Director of ICYM Alangar Unit Rev Fr Melwyn Noronha , President Jordan Fernandes, Secretary Venisa lobo, Deanery President Javin Dsouza , 21 Committees' Convener Rajesh Dsouza, YCS Animator Sr Jacintha , Vice President Edward Serrao and Secretary Lawrence Dsouza were present on the dais. The program began with prayers and ICYM Alangar President welcomed the gathering by offering the hand made reusable flowers. Mr Edward Serrao gave a message for youth through his speech. Further they honoured the 3 C.A.'s of the parish Melywn Joswin , Vilita Rego & Jonita Dsouza for their hard work and achievement. The stage program was concluded with Thanksgiving by Royston Moras.
The second session was boosted by some Action songs and Games by Alangar unit and soon after that there was was a talk by the Resource person and it was a great opportunity for them to have their Unit Director Fr Melvyn Noronha as Resource Person himself who's known as good preacher , counsellor and a teacher. He gave a wonderful message for the young youths based on their current life scenarios and how one can spend the good time of their youth. Further lunch was provided at 1 pm which was prepared by Mr Alwyn and ICYM members joined hands with him for help in cooking in the morning.
The Afternoon Session was handed over to Deanery and Diocese Members who conducted some Games and Action songs. Mangalore Diocese President Winston Sequeira and team were present . Veena Vaz and Winston conducted various activities with their team and all the youths actively participated in this program.
Overall the program was successfully concluded with maximum presence on time with good manners and was greatly appreciated by both the committee members who joined them for the program. Thanks to all who helped to make this program a great success and special thanks to the sound sponsor Mrs Sarita Pais of "Dream Sounds" for providing their sound system for the program.
