Mulki, July 16 : On July 14, 2024, the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of Immaculate Conception Church, Mulki organized a visit to the Riya Foundation - Therapeutic Residential Centre, Saripalla, Kulshekar. Approximately 19 enthusiastic ICYM members participated in this charitable event, bringing smiles and joy to about 60 children residing in the orphanage.
ICYM members provided the orphanage with the donations received from the parishioners of Mulki in cash as well as kind. They then proceeded to interact with the orphans and had an ice breaking session. The engagement was nothing short of memorable, as the members orchestrated a series of enriching activities and distributed snacks and juices as they enjoyed the entertainment program by the ICYM members. Action songs filled the air as laughter and smiles adorned the faces of the children. Games like Simon says and passing the ball were played, weaving an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement while ensuring that every child had a chance to participate and enjoy themselves.
ICYM members then concluded with a heart-warming gesture, as they distributed prizes and gifts to the children. The children also provided sweet short feedback to them, thanked them and expected their visit again, this gesture made ICYM members emotional. Their thoughtful act brought smiles and laughter to the faces of the young children, leaving a lasting impact on their hearts.
