Mangaluru, March 4, 2024 : Under the leadership of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh(R) and in collaboration with the 12 deaneries, Women's Day 2024 was celebrated on 3rd March 2024 at 8.30 am at Bishop's House Chapel, Kodialbail, Mangaluru with the Holy Mass.

The program was celebrated at St Aloysius College, Loyola Hall. The program was presided over by Mr. Alwyn D'Souza Paneer, Central President of the Catholic Sabha, who along with other dignitaries seated on the dais, lit the lamp and started the program.

Dr. Jacinta D'Souza, DMO, Wenlock Hospital was present as the chief guest.

Later on, three competitions were organized for women: Voviyo, Comedy Skit and Best out of Waste. Many women participated in this and showcased their talent.

Lunch was arranged for all the people who attended. Small games were played for fun.

The assembly program started at 2 pm. Amlin D'Souza, Commercial Tax Officer, Enforcement, Mangaluru graced the dais as the chief guest.

Dr. Carolyn P D'Souza gave information on Women's Psychological Stress and Solutions.

Mrs. Wilma Monteiro, Secretary of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh(R), Spiritual Director of Episcopal City Varado Rev Fr John Vas, President Mr. Steven Rodrigues, former and only woman President of Catholic Sabha Central Mrs. Flavi D'Souza, Convenor of Women Empowerment Kumari Melreeda Rodrigues, Co-Convenor Mrs. Lavina Gretta D'Souza, Mrs. Molly Shanti Saldanha, Mrs. Lizzie Pinto and Women Welfare Coordinators of 12 deaneries were present.

The guests gave their message.
6 women with special achievements in 6 different fields were felicitated.
All female presidents of the Catholic Sabha unit were honored for their service.
Those who joined the highest number of new members to the Catholic Sabha were honoured.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of all three competitions.
Secretary Wilma Monteiro proposed the vote of thanks.
