Moodbidri , Aug 23 : Catholic Sabha  and Women's Association of Moodbidri Deanery under its joint auspices, organised a commemoration program of monsoon food, at Corpus Christi Church Hall, Moodbidiri on 6th August 2023.

Presiding over the program, dean of Moodbidri deanery Rev. Fr. Onil D'Souza inaugurated the program by pounding paddy in traditional style. Catholic Sabha Moodbidri Deanery Spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Deepak Noronha offered prayers and wished the program well. Spiritual Director of Women's Association Rev. Fr. Elias D'Souza sought God's blessings on the dinner.

Mangalore MCC Bank Director Mrs. Irene Rebello, who had arrived as a resource person, said that it is our responsibility to remind the next generation that the rainy season food that our forefathers have given as crops, is sanjeevini in terms of health. 

Catholic Sabha Moodbidri Deanery President Avil D'Souza welcomed everyone. Catholic Sabha immediate past president Wilson Pinto, Women's Association immediate past president Leena Pinto, Women's Association secretary Vilma Crasta were present on the stage.The former deanery presidents of the Catholic Sabha, Valerian Sequeira, Gerald D'Costa, Andrew Noronha, Alwyn Menezes, Dire Rego, Victor Kadandale, Manohar Cutinha, Sampige church parish priest Rev. Fr. Vincent D'Souza were present. 

Sabita Rodrígues and Reta Lobo compered the program  and Women's Association President  Aida Menezes proposed a vote of thanks.
