Mangaluru, July 28 : All India Save Education Committee (AISEC) organised a day’s convention on 28th July 2023, at Gandhi Bhavan Mahadev Desai auditorium to evolve an education policy for Karnataka which is pro-people and pro-education. Prof. Allamaprabhu Bettaduru , writer, retired principal, President, AISEC Karnataka presided over the convention.

The convention invited all the education loving people such as teachers, students, academicians, parents. It's a welcome move that in the Karnataka Budget 2023-24, the Hon'ble Chief Minister has declared NEP2020 (National Education Policy) will be withdrawn and a state education policy will be formulated, with democratic discussion involving the Educationists, academics ,lecturers, teachers and stakeholders. The union government imposed the controversial NEP-2020 on us ignoring our federal structure, Democratic, Scientific and Secular Education. That’s why people of our entire country are opposed to these evil policies. So in order to move towards framing a People's Education Policy for Karnataka, many eminent educationists along with Hon'ble Mr Madhu Bangarappa (Minister for Primary and Secondary Education and Literacy, GOK), Hon'ble Dr MC Sudhakar (Minister for Higher Education,GOK), Hon'ble Dr HC Mahadevappa (Minister for Social Welfare Department, GOK) participated in the convention and the participants were enlightened on various aspects of the Education Policy.

Half day input session was thought provoking, challenging and an eye opener. The ruling State Government agreed upon to bring out the People's Education Policy for Karnataka taking in consideration the opinions of all.
