Mangaluru, July 23, 2023 : A massive protest was held in front of the Clock Tower today by the joint forum of like-minded organizations of Mangaluru, condemning the Manipur women's naked march and the uncontrolled racial hatred riots being carried out by the BJP government. Despite the torrential rain, a large number of protestors had gathered, especially women who participated in large numbers.

Ex Minister, Govt of Karnataka and President of Secular like minded organisations Ramanath Rai inaugurated the protest meeting. General Secretary of CITU Sunil Kumar Bajal, President of Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike Roy Castelino, DYFI State President Muneer Katipalla, President of Raitha Sangha Sunny D’Souza, President of Catholic Women’s Organisation, Mangalore Diocese Gretta Pinto, CPI Party District Secretary B Shekar, District President of Congress Women’s Wing Shalet Pinto addressed the gathering.

A large number of leaders and activists of Congress, CPI, CPIM parties, students, youth, women, dalits, tribals, lawyers and cultural organizations participated in the protest.
