Mangaluru, May 12 : The Students of St. Joseph Engineering College - Mangaluru have been awarded the first place in the Healthcare Innovation Hackathon organized by the Nitte University under the aegis of the Nitte Technology Enabling Center held on 5-7 May 2023. The prize was awarded for the Smart Wheelchair developed by the students of the Automation and Robotics Club ARC-SJEC on 7 May 2023. The team was awarded with a cash prize of ₹50,000.
The following B.E students were part of the team: Adithya Biju (Mech), Anshul R Shetty (Mech), Ansilla Pais – (CSE), Darren Dsa (AIML), Mahmood Sufaid (Mech) and Shreyas Kadri - (CSE). The SJEC Management congratulates the students and everyone who has guided the entire team.
