Mangaluru, March 27 : A Three day Lenten Retreat was held at Infant Mary Parish, Bajjodi, from 24th to 26th March, 2023. This year being the 'Year of the Family' the retreat was conducted with the Family theme by Carmelite Priest Rev Fr. Wilfred Frank OCD from 5pm to 8.30pm on 25th and 26th March and from 8.30am to 11.30 am on Sunday 26th March. The retreat began with the Way of the Cross at 5pm on 24th and 25th March followed by Praise and Worship, Adoration, talk and Eucharistic Celebration on both days. Confessions were held on the 25th that helped the faithful in their reconciliation with God which made their retreat more effective. On 26th, Sunday, the Retreat began at 8.30am with the Way of the Cross followed by Praise and Worship, talk, Eucharistic Celebration and Healing Service.

Fr. Wilfred Frank preached on different aspects that would help the faithful build their families in love, faith and prayer. He explained these aspects with examples of Real Life Incidents that he had experienced during his Mission and various instances where God has shown His Healing Touch that made his preaching interesting and meaningful.

Many parishioners attended the retreat and experienced the presence of God in their lives. Parish priest Fr. Ivan Dsouza thanked Fr. Wilfred Frank for his effective preaching and also Mr. Joe Rodrigues and Precilla, for their support to this retreat through their melodious singing and music that lifted the Spirit of the people in their Praise and Worship.
