Shivamogga, July 30, 2024: Grandparents' Day was celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Diocese of Shimoga on July 28, 2024. Parents of Mother Mary St. Anne and Joachim are the Patron saints of Grandparents.

Most of the Parishes of the Diocese of Shimoga kept July 28th Sunday Liturgy as Special and Unique for all the Grandparents. Meaningful liturgy and short entertainment programs were conducted.

At 9am Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Diocese of Shimoga, celebrated the Holy Eucharist and prayed for the Grandparents at Sacred Heart Cathedral. At the end of the Holy Eucharist, he blessed the Grandparents.

ICYM and Women's Commission of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga, organised the day's programme.

Parish Priest Rev. Fr Stany D'Souza thanked the Bishop and Organizers.
