Chikkamagaluru, Sep 19, 2024 : Christ’s Faithful of the Diocese of Chikmagalur organized and witnessed the Ruby Jubilee Celebration of the Most Rev. Dr. Bishop Anthony Swamy on 16th of September at St Joseph’s Cathedral, Chikkamagaluru. People. Priests, Religious sisters and Brothers in large numbers gathered to Thank God along with Bishop Anthony Swamy for His bountiful blessings through Bishop to the Diocese. There were 82 priests present for the Ruby Jubilee celebration and around 1600 people were present for the Eucharistic celebration and for the felicitation programme. Very Rev. Fr Ronald Cardoza preached the inspiring homily based on Priesthood and on the motto of Bishop Anthony Swamy. There was a Documentary video screening after the Eucharistic Celebration about Bishop Anthony Swamy and his achievements in the Diocese by Fr Prashanth, Fr Vinay Kumar and Magnificat Team.

After the Eucharistic Celebration Rev. Fr David Prakash led the felicitation program. Msgr Elias Sequeira, vicar general of the Diocese welcomed the gathering and gave introductory words about the program. Very Rev. Fr Charles Pereira, Chancellor of the Diocese read the felicitation honors for the Bishop. Rev. Fr A. Shanthraj delivered the felicitation words for the Bishop. Msgr Elias Sequeira, vicar general of the Diocese and the convener of the Ruby Jubilee Celebration, Very Rev. Fr Charles Pereira, Chancellor of the Diocese, Rev. Fr Moses, Consultor, Very Rev. Fr Joseph Pinto, Episcopal Vicar of the Diocese and Rev. Fr Prashanth, Consultor felicitated Bishop Anthony Swamy on behalf of the Diocese. At the flag end of the program Rev. Fr Joseph Madtha, Secretary of the Senate thanked all who toiled for the success of the Ruby celebration.
