Puttur, Feb 28 : The valedictory ceremony of the annual National Service Scheme (NSS) special camp of St Philomena College (Autonomous), Puttur, for the academic year 2024-25 was held on February 26, 2025, at S.H.P. Anadka. The camp, themed “Youth for Digital Literacy – Youth for My Bharat,” concluded with an inspiring message on service and digital empowerment.

The event was presided over by Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Principal of the College, who lauded the dedication and hard work of the NSS volunteers. He expressed deep gratitude to the people of Anadka for their unwavering support in making the camp a success.

Delivering the valedictory remarks, the Vice Principal Dr Vijayakumar Moleyar emphasized the importance of inculcating a spirit of service among students in today’s digital world. He also highlighted the significance of the NSS camp in fostering leadership, teamwork, and community engagement among youth.

The Assistant Camp Officer, Harshith R., presented a comprehensive report acknowledging the contributions of donors who extended their support to the camp. NSS volunteers Vishnujith and Lavika provided an overview of the activities and accomplishments of the camp.

Camp participants Prathibha, Kavya, and Manvith shared their enriching experiences, reflecting on the impact the camp had on their personal growth and understanding of social responsibility.

In recognition of their contributions, individuals who played pivotal roles in the success of the camp were felicitated during the ceremony. As a gesture of appreciation, a gift was presented to S.H.P. Anadka on behalf of the college. The program commenced with an invocation by Archana and team. Mrs. Pushpa N., Camp Officer, extended a warm welcome. Dr K. Chandrashekar, Camp Officer, proposed the vote of thanks. The event was compered by NSS volunteer Geetha K.
