Mangaluru, Feb 24 : St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, celebrated Students' Day with the captivating theme of “Ethnic day” on 22 February 2025.
This vibrant event was graced by a distinguished panel, including Sr. Dr. M. Venissa A.C., the Principal; Sr. Dr. Roopa Rodrigues A.C., the Vice-Principal; Sr. Dr. Vinora A.C., the Coordinator for P.G. Studies; Sr. Carmel Rita A.C., the Administrator; Registrar, and IQAC Coordinator, Deans and Head of the Departments; along with student Presidents Ms. Privy D'Souza and Mr. Prathik Rai of the UG and PG student bodies respectively.
In her inspiring address, the Principal emphasized that Students' Day is a unique opportunity for students to showcase their talents and shine brightly. She elaborated on the theme, encouraging everyone to strive for excellence and preserve the ethnicity of the nation.
The day commenced with a delightful program featuring performances by the student council members from both the PG and UG cabinets. The students showcased an array of talents, including singing, dancing, and other artistic displays. The teaching and non-teaching faculty also contributed to the festivities with stunning dances, delightful music, melodious voices, and entertaining skits.
Following the performances, prizes were awarded to the winners of various competitions organized by different associations, and students with 100% attendance were duly honored for their dedication.
The program began with a heartfelt prayer, and Trisha Shetty, the Sports Secretary, warmly welcomed the gathering while Ann Riya George, the Secretary of the Psychology Forum, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants. Alric Nazareth and Nabhan were the Emcees for the event.
The event concluded with mass dance, followed by a delightful lunch that left both students and faculty in high spirits.
