Allipade - Bantwal, Jan 27, 2025 : St Antony English Medium School Allipade celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great fervor on January 26th, showcasing the values of unity, patriotism, and democracy among students and attendees.

The event began with a prayer song performed by the school choir, setting a serene tone for the proceedings. Teacher Sowmya delivered an inspiring welcome speech, emphasizing the importance of the day.

The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted by Rev. Fr Robert Dsouza, the school correspondent, at 9 a.m. This significant moment was attended by students, teachers, well-wishers, and parents. The gathering participated in the singing of "Vande Mataram" and the National Anthem, reflecting deep reverence for the nation and honoring the martyrs who fought for India's freedom. Floral tributes were paid to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar by the correspondent and esteemed guests, further enriching the ceremony.

During his address, Rev. Fr Dsouza encouraged the audience to aspire to become role models in society and to safeguard India's cultural values and rich heritage. His remarks inspired students and attendees alike.

The celebration featured a half-hour program organized by Class 2. Highlights included:
- A spirited dance performance by students to a patriotic tune.
- A melodious choir performance of an inspiring patriotic song.
- A significant speech delivered by Sanvi, a Class 2 student, who articulated the importance of January 26, underscoring its relevance in India's history.

The event was graced by notable dignitaries including Sr. Narcisa Sequeira, Sr. Lavina Veigas, Mr. Naveen Moras, Mr. Kiran Noronha, Mrs. Vinoda, and Br. Ajay D'Souza. Their presence added prestige to the celebration.

The event was expertly compered by student Reeva, and teacher Thulasi provided a heartfelt vote of thanks, rounding off the celebration.
