Udupi, Jan 27 : St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE), Udupi, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with an elated patriotic fervor on Sunday, 26th January 2025. The school campus radiated the tricolor spirit, with students reflecting the spirit of unity, harmony, patriotism, and hope for a promising and brighter future.

The event began with a solemn prayer, invoking blessings for the nation and its people. Then, Abiel Fernandes set the tone for the celebration with his gracious welcome address. Aishani presented a sapling, a token of respect & appreciation to the esteemed chief guest, Ms. Saritha, faculty of St. Cecily’s High School.

A series of well-curated cultural performances captivated the audience, reflecting the rich diversity and unity of India. The soul-scintillating dance, “Jayathu Jayathu Bharatham,” celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage while “Har Ghar Tiranga,” a power-packed performance showcased the patriotic zeal and unity of every Indian, Yet another notable performance- “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan,” paid a heartfelt tribute to the invaluable contributions of soldiers and farmers. The highlight of the cultural segment was the unique dance drama, “Past, Present, and Future India,” which beautifully illustrated India’s journey through its struggles, achievements, and aspirations, leaving the audience deeply inspired and proud.

The Chief Guest, Ms. Saritha, in her address, eloquently explained the significance of the Indian Constitution and encouraged the students to uphold the principles of the school Constitution as a foundation for discipline and growth. She urged everyone to strive for a Parishram Bharath (Industrious India), Parakrami Bharath (Courageous India), and Vijay Bharath (Victorious India), envisioning the 21st century as India’s era of global prominence.

The celebration beautifully intertwined the essence of the national festival with the pride of achievement, as winners of the Abacus and Vedic Maths competition conducted by Generation Next in Moodbidri were honored.. It was indeed a celebration of students' talents and relentless efforts. In a solemn moment of reflection, students revised the Preamble of the Constitution, led by Tr Jyothi, reaffirming their commitment to India’s democratic ideals.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Manan Chetan Pithrody, who expressed gratitude to the participants, organizers, and the audience. The event culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem, infusing every heart with pride and patriotism.

The 76th Republic Day celebration at St. Cecily’s was a joyous event of 2025, which not only served as a reminder of the sacrifices of the past but also instilled a renewed sense of unity, harmony and determination in the young minds to contribute to the nation in each one’s capacities.
