Mangaluru, Jan 23 : Carmel School, CBSE, celebrated Constitution Day on 11th January 2025 with great enthusiasm and respect. The event began with a solemn prayer service, which set a thoughtful and reflective tone for the proceedings.

The distinguished guests on the dais included the Chief Guest Mr. B K Satish Yadapadithya, his wife Mrs. Veena, the Principal Sr. Pramila, Vice Principal Sr. Anitha, and the school coordinators. The programme commenced with a vibrant welcome dance, which set an energetic tone for the day’s celebrations. Following the dance, Nashlin delivered the formal welcome address, extending a warm greeting to all attendees.

The Preamble of the Indian Constitution was recited with great pride by the guests, students and staff led by Mr. Sakshath and Mr. Chinmay, reinforcing the collective commitment to uphold the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution. A thematic dance, based on the values of the Constitution, added a creative flair to the celebration.

In her speech, Prapthi, highlighted the profound significance of the day, emphasizing how the Constitution shapes India's democratic principles. A thought-provoking skit on the fundamental rights further engaged the audience, illustrating the core values of justice and equality.

Chief Guest Mr. B K Satish Yadapadithya delivered a compelling speech, stressing the importance of the Indian Constitution and fundamental rights, with special emphasis on the Right to Education and the Right to Equality. He also honoured Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s crucial role in drafting the Constitution, paying tribute to his vision and leadership.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Joshwa, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to making the event a success. Jnana and Manvi efficiently compered the event, ensuring its smooth flow and keeping the audience engaged throughout.

The Constitution Day celebration at Carmel School was a resounding success, leaving the audience inspired with a renewed understanding and appreciation of the Indian Constitution and its vital role in shaping the nation’s democratic framework.
