Udupi, Nov 19 : St Cecily's English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE) celebrated the establishing day of the Apostolic Carmel in India and the feast of St Cecilia on 19, November 2024, with great zeal and reverence. To commemorate the anniversary, the Grade 5, children and the Carmel Blossoms put together an engaging and meaningful programme.
A calm prayer service opened the gathering, establishing a contemplative atmosphere for the day. Following that, there was a mesmerizing welcome dance that gave the festivities elegance and beauty. In an impressive address, Joslyn Mendonca, welcomed everyone to the event. The garlanding of Mother Veronica's image by Principal Sr. Lathika and the staff team was the centerpiece of the inauguration ceremony, signifying the foundress's profound esteem and appreciation.
Kannika Suvarna skilfully clarified the day's meaning, emphasizing both its spiritual and historical significance. The audience was inspired by a masterfully choreographed dance scenario that brought the life and virtues of St. Cecilia to life, adding to the programme's liveliness. The performance was further enhanced by a power point presentation that highlighted Mother Veronica's life and accomplishments, offering insightful information about her legacy.
The chief guest, Sr. Therese Jyothi, Superior of St. Cecily's Convent, delivered an inspiring address, urging the students to imbibe the virtues exemplified by Mother Veronica and St Cecilia and integrate them in their daily lives. In her message, Principal Sr. Lathika appreciated the students for their outstanding efforts in organizing such an inspiring and meaningful celebration.
The event was seamlessly anchored by Aaron, Rolvita Felcia D Souza, Manha, and Dakshith, who ensured the programme's smooth flow. Abigail expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the day through her well-articulated vote of thanks.
