Allipade - Bantwal, Nov 4, 2024 : On November 1st, St. Antony English Medium School Allipade organized a vibrant celebration for the 69th Kannada Rajyotsava and Diwali, reflecting our commitment to honoring the formation of Karnataka. The event commenced with a thoughtful prayer by the choir, which set a positive and uplifting tone. Samshiya, a 5th-grade student, welcomed attendees with an engaging speech that helped foster a sense of community.
Kannada Rajyotsava Highlights:
1. Patriotic Dance: Students performed a lively dance to "Huttidare Kannada Nadalli Huttabeku," showcasing their talent and enthusiasm for Kannada culture.
2. Inspiring Speech: Reeshel delivered a compelling speech on the significance of Kannada Rajyotsava, encouraging appreciation for our linguistic heritage.
3. Musical Performance: The 7th-grade students captivated the audience with their rendition of "Jogada Siri Belakinalli," highlighting the artistic talents within the school.
4. Cultural Skit: The Kannada Ulsi skit effectively conveyed the importance of preserving Karnataka's rich cultural heritage, prompting reflection on our shared responsibility.
The correspondent Rev.Fr Robert Dsouza emphasized the importance of preserving the Kannada language while extending heartfelt Diwali wishes to everyone, fostering a sense of unity.
The Headmistress Sr Lavina Veigas underscored the significance of learning Kannada and conveyed warm Diwali greetings, reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity and cultural pride.
The event generated a sense of pride in the minds of the students for being a part of a culture that is so rich and vibrant. Ms Vanitha welcomed the gathering, Ms Kavitha proposed the vote of thanks and Greeshma the student of Class 7 compered the programme beautifully.
