Kinnikambla - Mangaluru, Oct 3, 2024 : On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Rosa Mystica PU College organized a meaningful cleanliness drive that engaged students from both the first and second years. Emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and community service, the students actively participated in cleaning the college surroundings and maintaining the roadside cleanliness. The National Service Scheme (NSS) students played a pivotal role in this initiative, dedicating their efforts to clearing overgrown bushes and litter from the roadside. Their hard work not only beautified the area but also fostered a sense of responsibility towards our environment. This event not only honored the principles of Mahatma Gandhi but also inspired students to continue promoting cleanliness and sustainability in their daily lives. They hope to carry forward this spirit of service and community involvement in future initiatives.

A short but impactful programme was held in the college auditorium to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. Students delivered heartfelt speeches on the significance of Gandhian values, emphasizing the importance of manual labor, ahimsa (non-violence), and respect for all life. The presentations highlighted how these principles can guide us in our daily lives and foster a more compassionate society. The students’ eloquence and passion created an inspiring atmosphere, encouraging everyone to reflect on these timeless values.

During the Gandhi Jayanti celebration in the college auditorium, the Principal delivered an inspiring message to the students, urging them to serve society through manual labor and to embrace ahimsa (non-violence) in their lives. Her words resonated with the audience, encouraging everyone to contribute positively to the community. The event was beautifully arranged by Mrs. Deepa Anchan and Mrs. Sujatha, whose efforts ensured the programme ran smoothly and effectively. Their meticulous planning and attention to detail made the celebration a memorable experience for all. Overall, the programme not only honored Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy but also inspired students to incorporate his values into their everyday lives.
