Mulki, Oct 2, 2024 : Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated on October 2nd in Bethany Eng. Med. Hr. Pry. School Kilpady wherein they honoured Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of the Indian Independence movement. This day is also observed as the International Day of Non-Violence.

The lighting of the lamp is a symbolic gesture, representing the light of truth, knowledge, and hope that Gandhi brought to the world. The headmistress and the staff lit the lamp and showered the flowers to Gandhiji.

IIIrd, Ist standard students , scouts and guides students conducted cultural programs showcasing Gandhiji’s life and teaching. Speeches and dances were performed beautifully.

At the end headmistress addressed the students and shared the life of Mahatma Gandhiji and called the students to practice the values in a daily life.
