Mangaluru, Sep 6 : The Teachers' Day celebration at Carmel School, CBSE, Kotekar held on 5th September 2024, was a grand and meaningful event. The day began with a holy mass at 8:45 a.m., setting a reflective and respectful tone for the festivities. The cultural programme was organized by the students of standard X. The programme was graced by the esteemed guests, including Principal Sr. Pramila D’Souza AC, Vice Principal Sr. Anitha D’Souza AC, and Coordinators Sr. Ashwina A.C. Sr. Fidele A.C. and Mrs. Roopa A.C, whose presence added to the importance of the occasion.

The cultural performances by the students were varied and engaging. The event started with a prayer service, followed by a formal welcome, creating a warmth filled respectful atmosphere by Poorvi. The boys showcased their talents through a lively dance performance, while short advertisements added a creative and entertaining touch to the programme. An inspiring skit, focused on the theme of respecting teachers, highlighted the day's key values and left a lasting impression on the audience.

Adhya presented the significance of Teachers' Day, offering insights into why the day holds such importance in honoring educators. The students further enriched the programme by delivering messages in different languages, showcasing the diverse talents and respect the school community holds for teachers.
The touching skit by the Kindergarten students on a teacher who ignites the imagination and instills a love of learning was truly commendable. The inspiring songs and dance by the students touched the hearts of teachers.

Sr. Pramila D’Souza AC the Principal in her address, compared the life of teachers to sculptors in carving out a beautiful image in students’ lives. She invited students to express their love and respect for teachers not just through gifts or outward gestures, but by accepting the corrections given, improving themselves, and excelling in their noble actions. She encouraged the students to use various ways to express love and appreciation for teachers beyond material things.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt thanks acknowledging the efforts of all participants and organizers. The event was smoothly managed by the MCs, Saisholkh, Saadvi, and Kannika, who ensured the seamless flow of activities. After the cultural programme, a series of games were conducted, bringing joy and excitement to the students and teachers alike.

The celebration truly reflected the school’s dedication to fostering respect and gratitude towards teachers, making it a memorable day for all.
