Mangaluru, Aug 7, 2024 : St Ann’s Teacher Training Institute, Mangalore inaugurated the new academic year 2024-25, with an Oath taking ceremony by the college cabinet and welcoming the 1st year students.

Diploma in Elementary Education, now called as D.El.Ed is an approved course for teachers handling classes 1 to 8, after the completion of Pre University College, recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The event began with the oath-taking ceremony, led by the college Principal Mrs Anita D’Curz, where the cabinet ministers pledged to work for the betterment of the institution. The highlight of the event was the introduction of students with their special talents. Each student showcased their unique skills, leaving the audience impressed and inspired. The second year students welcomed the first years with fun fair. The chief guest Mr Nandakeshan N, retired Deputy Director of Education, Kasargod emphasized the importance of teacher training and the role of teachers in shaping the future of society. Sr Edna Furtado A.C, the administrator of the College in her presidential speech highlighted the institution’s vision and mission.

Student teachers Ms Pratheeksha and Ms Vandana anchored the event. Ms Divya Nayak welcomed and Ms Rajashree proposed the vote of thanks.
