Mangaluru, July 28, 2024 : St Ann's PU College celebrated its patron's feast with great joy and enthusiasm in the college auditorium. The Feast of the college patroness is traditionally celebrated on July 26th, honoring St Anne, the Mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus.
The program commenced with a solemn prayer service, setting a reflective and spiritual tone for the festivities. This was followed by a captivating welcome dance that beautifully encapsulated the joy and reverence of the occasion.
A significant part of the celebration was an informative PowerPoint presentation narrating the story of st Anne and detailing the significance of the day. This presentation was not only educational but also interactive, as spot prizes were awarded to students who answered questions correctly.
One of the highlights of the day was a musical dance drama that poignantly depicted the sacrifices of a mother in raising a child. This performance resonated deeply with the audience, showcasing the universal theme of maternal love and dedication. Other attractions were a dance performance on kindness and songs in praise of the beloved St Anne.
Adding an element of fun and excitement, a lucky draw was held to select the "Lucky Person of the Day." Each student had been given a number beforehand, and the anticipation built as the winning number was drawn.
The program concluded with a meaningful message from the Principal, who praised the second-year science students and their teachers for their exceptional effort in organizing and executing the event. The Principal's words of encouragement and congratulations were warmly received by all.
Finally, a vote of thanks was delivered, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. The program was compered by Hiba, Surura and Amreen. Vote of thanks was proposed by Neehara.
