Mangaluru, June 29, 2024 : The inaugural program of 'UDAAN 2024-25' was held on the 27th june in the St Ann's PU College auditorium with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation from the students. The event, themed "UDAAN" A cultural Extravaganza, marked the beginning of a series of competitions aimed at showcasing and celebrating the diverse talents of our students.

The event commenced with a profound quote by George Bernard Shaw, "Art is the magic mirror you make to reflect your invisible dreams in visible pictures." This set the tone for the day, emphasizing the importance of art and creativity in our lives.
The program began with a solemn prayer led by Naushidha and her team, seeking divine blessings for guidance and success.
Following the prayer, the welcome dance team took the stage, radiating joy and warmth through their performance. Their graceful movements symbolized a heartfelt welcome, setting a positive and inviting atmosphere for the rest of the program.

The highlight of the inaugural ceremony was the official launch of "UDAAN- 2024-25" by the esteemed Principal, Sr. Rachana AC and Vice Principal Mr. Anil Noronha. The untying of the ribbon, on the bud, and allowing it to bloom, marked the commencement of the inter- class competitions,with a sense of anticipation and excitement.

Ananya and her team then took the stage to present a thematic performance that beautifully depicted the importance of art and culture in enriching the lives of students. Their performance was both captivating and inspiring, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Next, Thanmayee and her team performed different forms of dance, showcasing the hidden language of the soul through their expressive and dynamic movements. Their performance was met with enthusiastic applause and appreciation.

To add a musical touch to the event, Ashel, Aaron, Asher, and Fahiz gave a soulful performance, with their melodious voice and music, highlighting the emotional and situational nuances of music. Their harmonious rendition was a delightful treat for everyone present.

The program concluded with an address by the Principal, who emphasized the importance of cultural activities in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and empathy among students. Her words were both motivational and encouraging, inspiring all participants to actively engage in the upcoming events.
Ananya, student cultural minister proposed the vote of thanks and Rafa, also a minister for culture compered the programme.
