Mangaluru, March 22, 2024 : The teaching of all religions is on the path of truth and they are striving for the prosperity of mankind and not for the destruction of mankind. But some vested interests are misusing religion for their own selfishness and creating a hateful atmosphere in the society. Sunni Scholar, SYS District Vice President Honourable Bashir Madani opined that if such divisive people in the society are to be repelled, a healthy society can be built by conducting more and more friendly programs where people of all religions unite.
He said these words while spreading his friendly message at the friendly Iftar Koota-2024 program held at Town Hall in the city under the joint auspices of Santa Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike and D.K. District Streetside Traders' Welfare Association with the slogan "Let love spread everywhere" and hope that the festivals of all religions will be a festival for all people.
His Excellency Hemachandra Kumar, Bishop of CSI Karnataka South Province, said, Iftar gathering is indeed a celebration that conveys a message of harmony. Not only is it a symbol of attachment. He said that such platforms should be utilized to respect each other.
Dr. K. Prakash, a social thinker, said, Among 126 countries in the world, India's hunger index is at the 114th position. He said that along with the increase in hunger in the country, inequality is also increasing and harmony is decreasing.
