Mangaluru, Feb 23, 2024 : Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School Kotekar celebrated Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Day with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event, organized by the students of Grade II A, aimed to honor Netaji's remarkable contributions to India's struggle for independence. The program began with a heartfelt prayer, seeking divine blessings to inspire and guide everyone throughout the event. Esteemed guests Vice Principal Sr. Anitha Dsouza A C, Principal Sr. Jacintha Desa A C, and Coordinator Sr. Ashwina D'Almeida A C graced the occasion. The significance of the day was eloquently highlighted by Ishra Sheikh and Inchara.

The cultural segment of the event featured various performances, including patriotic songs, dance routines, and theatrical presentations, all dedicated to paying tribute to Netaji. The performances skillfully captured the essence of the era and resonated with the audience. A compelling keynote address was delivered, shedding light on the life and accomplishments of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Sr. Anitha Dsouza emphasized Bose's unwavering commitment to the cause of freedom and his pivotal role in shaping India's destiny.

The gathering was welcomed by Diyola Dsouza while Amina Rida expressed words of gratitude. Abhinav Pai , Anah , Tanvi D and Nishal acted as emcees for the program.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose continues to inspire our physical education teachers in Mangalore. Each year, this day is commemorated by organizing sports and games for the physical education teachers of the district. The physical education teacher, Mr. Vikas, participated in various field and track events and emerged as a winner in 400mtr race 1st and 100 mtr race 2nd. Over the years, Mr. Vikas has consistently excelled in different sports events, earning him recognition for his outstanding contributions to the field of sports.

The event concluded with a closing ceremony, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and sponsors who contributed to its success. The commemoration served as a powerful reminder of Netaji's indomitable spirit and enduring impact on the nation's history.
