Mangaluru, Jan 28 : Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School Kotekar commemorated the 75th Republic Day with a vibrant and patriotic celebration on January 26, 2024. The event, which aimed to honor India's Constitution and embody the spirit of unity and democracy, began with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony conducted by the Kannada Primary School Stella Maris Kotekar. As the national flag soared high, attendees, including students, staff, and esteemed guests, paid their respects as the national anthem filled the air with patriotism.

Grade VII-B showcased a captivating array of cultural performances, reflecting the essence of India's diverse heritage. The presence of esteemed Chief Guest Tr.Lalitha from Stella Maris Kannada Primary School Kotekar, along with the Principal Sr. Jacintha Desa and Coordinator Sr. Ashwina Almeida, added significance to the occasion, contributing to its overall success.

Shanvi and Bhuvi Devadiga from Grade VII-B delivered eloquent speeches, emphasizing the historical importance of Republic Day, the principles of the Constitution, and the significance of unity in diversity. Their speeches not only demonstrated research skills but also showcased an understanding of the democratic values that shape our nation.

The students' performances, including dance routines, patriotic songs, and a Mime show, depicted India's journey toward becoming a sovereign republic. These vibrant and energetic displays resonated with the audience, instilling a deep sense of pride.

The guest speaker's insightful address highlighted the importance of instilling patriotism in childhood through a compelling story. Emphasizing that patriotism forms the bedrock for instilling vital values in children, such as love for the country, respect for diversity, and a sense of civic responsibility.

Melisha and Nidhi took on the roles of emcees, while Aajhna of Grade VII-B warmly welcomed the gathering. The Republic Day program concluded with a gracious vote of thanks by Prithvik of Grade VII-B, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the event's success. Participants and attendees departed with a renewed sense of patriotism and commitment to upholding the democratic ideals enshrined in the Constitution.
