Mangaluru, Dec 29, 2023 : Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School, Kotekar, celebrated its Annual Day with great enthusiasm. The programme began with rhythmic band beats, followed by the inauguration of the school's CBSE affiliation. The students then mesmerized us with their melodious choir singing in unison. A prayer dance filled the air with blessings, and the kindergarten students welcomed the crowd with a delightful dance.
Next, students from various classes delivered spectacular performances based on themes such as the five elements, the colors of life, Mother Veronica, inventions, harmony, millets, a tribute to civil employees, Christmas, and an English drama called 'The Wizard of Oz.' The KG students also presented unique performances, including a dance based on the theme of plastic, a remix dance, and a family dance drama. The play home students entertained the audience with their lovely dance performance. The highlight of the event was a digital display showcasing the school's annual report, providing a comprehensive overview of the activities conducted throughout the year.
Mrs. Sharmila Mukesh Rao, the chief guest, expressed her joy at sharing the stage with her daughter on this auspicious day. She congratulated the staff and students on achieving affiliation from the CBSE board and urged parents to be vigilant about the use of mobile phones.
The top scorers were honored by the chief guest, and special achievement awards were presented by Sister Juliana Mary AC, the Joint Secretary, Sister Fidele AC, KG Coordinator, and Mr. Naveen Shetty, Vice President of the PTA, who joined our Principal, Sister Jacintha Dsa AC, on stage.
The program was skillfully compered by the students Pranav (10th), Yajna (8th), Kangna (6th), and Shanvi (4th). Sister Jacintha Dsa warmly welcomed everyone and expressed gratitude for their presence at this grand occasion. The vote of thanks was delivered by Tr. Rushal, who expressed appreciation to all those who contributed immensely to the success of the event and the audience for being a wonderful audience.
