Bajpe, Aug 14 : The ICYM Bajpe Unit celebrated Friendship Day on August 11, 2024, at 9:00 AM in the St Joseph church mini hall. The event was graced by the presence of ICYM Bajpe Unit Director, Rev. Dr. Ronald Cutinha; ICYM Bajpe Unit Assistant Director, Rev. Fr. Vivian Rodrigues; ICYM Bajpe Unit Animator, Ms. Frenita Tauro; ICYM President, Ms. Melria Saldanha; and ICYM Secretary, Ms. Carol Lobo.

The celebration began with a prayer led by Rev. Fr. Vivian Rodrigues, focusing on the significance of Friendship Day and National Youth Day. Following this, Ms. Melria Saldanha extended a warm welcome.

Fr. Ronald then delivered a brief talk on the importance of friendships in our lives, highlighting how true friends play a crucial role in supporting and shaping us. During the event, members present tied friendship bands to each other to commemorate Friendship Day.

Ms. Frenita Tauro, the ICYM Bajpe Unit Animator, led the members through various activities, including team-building games that fostered a sense of unity and fun. Winners of the games were awarded prizes, and special Friendship Day gifts were presented to the Priests, Animators, and all Members.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Carol Lobo, who expressed gratitude to everyone for making the day memorable.
