Bantwal, Jan 13, 2024 : On December 24th after the holy mass, ICYM Loretto hosted a joyful Christmas celebration filled with excitement and togetherness. The event kicked off with Santa's grand entrance, bringing cheer and anticipation to the venue. Santa interacted with children, spreading smiles and giving out chocolates, creating a magical atmosphere. The talented members of ICYM Loretto presented a delightful dance performance, adding a special touch to the festivities. The spirit of giving continued with an auction conducted by Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, the Parish priest of Loretto church, and Mr Alwyn Pinto, Animator of ICYM Loretto unit, making the event both fun and a fundraising opportunity for a good cause.

A special felicitation was held for the youth involved in organizing Christmas carols and creating the crib. The Christmas program concluded with an engaging round of Housie, adding excitement for the audience. The event was compered by Melreen D'Souza, and Ashlin Barboza, the Secretary of ICYM Loretto unit, delivered the vote of thanks.

Later, an ICYM gathering took place, presided over by Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, along with Rev. Fr Jason Monis, the Principal of Loretto English Medium school, and Mr. Alwyn Pinto, Animator of ICYM Loretto unit. During the gathering, Rev. Fr Francis Crasta emphasized the significance of the Secret Santa tradition, highlighting that it goes beyond gift exchange and symbolizes the value each person holds for one another. The ICYM youth shared gifts with each other, and after the meeting, everyone gathered for dinner, marking the end of the festive celebration.
