Moodbidri, March 20, 2025 : Carmel School Moodbidri organized a vibrant Cubs and Bulbul One-Day Camp filled with exciting activities, skill-building sessions and team spirit. The camp aimed to instill values of discipline, teamwork and self-reliance while fostering a deep connection with nature.
Cubs: Learning Through Action
The Cubs began their day with an engaging skit on cleanliness and discipline, highlighting the importance of maintaining hygiene and good conduct. This was followed by a session emphasizing the values and responsibilities of being a Cub.
To keep their spirits high, the Cubs enthusiastically participated in action songs and fun-filled games, which encouraged teamwork and coordination. A creative craft session, led by Sandeep Sir, allowed them to explore their artistic side.
The most exciting part of their day was the nature walk to Gandhi Park, where they observed the beauty of the natural world and learned about environmental conservation.
Bulbul: A Blend of Skills and Creativity
The Bulbuls had an enriching experience with a well-structured session by Naveen from Excellent School, who shared insights into the history of scouting and guiding. This session inspired them to carry forward the legacy of discipline and service.
Their hands-on activities included a "Cooking Without Fire" challenge, which encouraged teamwork and innovation in preparing simple yet nutritious dishes. A creative art and craft session, conducted by Sandeep Sir, allowed them to express their artistic talents.
Adding a touch of responsibility, the Bulbuls actively participated in a cleaning activity, reinforcing the value of cleanliness and service. The day concluded with cheerful action songs, spreading joy and enthusiasm among the participants.
The Cubs and Bulbuls left the camp with valuable lessons, new friendships and unforgettable experiences. Through engaging activities, they not only learned essential life skills but also embraced the true spirit of Scouting and Guiding—to serve, learn and grow together.
The camp was a testament to Carmel School’s commitment to holistic education, nurturing young minds to become responsible and compassionate individuals.
