Mangaluru, Dec 24 : On the 22nd of December 2023, the students of 7th grade orchestrated a mesmerizing stage program at St. Theresa's School in Bendur, Mangaluru, commemorating the birth of Jesus for Christmas. The radiant ambience welcomed Fr. Leo Lasrado, Sr. Shaila, the correspondent of the school with open arms, setting the tone for an illuminating event.
The atmosphere reverberated with a heartfelt prayer, inviting the divine into our midst. Following this , a captivating welcome dance unfolded, establishing the mood for a day of jubilation. The tableau presentation delved deep into the essence of Christmas and gospel values, placing special emphasis on the Year of Mercy.
Class wise, Carols were sung by the students of the school which was judged by priests .The whole school was decorated with Christmas symbols and cribs were prepared by the students. The air was filled with the spirit of Christmas .
On 23rd December 2023,to sustain the festive spirit of Christmas, the school's educators joyfully paraded to Bethany Convent, extending heartfelt wishes to the Superior General Sr. Rose Celine, the Superior of Bethany Convent, Sr. Dona, and the Bethany Education Office representatives Sr. Sandhya and other sisters.
They expressed warm sentiments for a Christmas filled with joy, peace, and happiness for all the sisters, fostering a sense of camaraderie and goodwill during this special season of celebration and togetherness. The melodious singing of Carols was the highlight of the day.
The teachers and students visited the cottage of Rev Fr Raymond Mascarenhas and prayed before the altar.
The Theresian family members, along with the principal, vice principal, and teachers, gathered for a festive meal to appreciate the love for one another.
Sr. Shaila, the correspondent of the school, greeted the teachers and requested them to pray for peace in the world, especially at Palestine, the place where the good news of the birth of Jesus Christ was proclaimed.
The true meaning of Christmas filled the hearts and homes of all Theresians.
