Kinnigoli, Nov 7 : The ICYM unit of Little Flower Church, Niddodi, in collaboration with the Catechetics Commission and Youth Commission, celebrated Teachers' Day on the auspicious occasion of St. Charles Borromeo feast, which took place on Sunday, November 5th, 2023. The event was a grand success, filled with meaningful ceremonies, speeches, and fun activities, all to honor and appreciate the dedicated catechism teachers who play a crucial role in shaping the spiritual and moral lives of the youth.

The program commenced with a prayer song, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the event. The following dignitaries graced the occasion:

Mr. Chaswin Tauro, the Unit President of ICYM Niddodi, extended a warm welcome to the gathered attendees, setting the tone for the event. Mrs. Flossy Tauro, the Secretary of the Catechetics Commission, delivered an enlightening speech on the significance of the day and the pivotal role played by catechism teachers in shaping young minds. Mrs. Jeniffer Preema Correa shared her valuable experiences as a catechism teacher, providing insight into the challenges and joys of this noble profession.

To express gratitude and appreciation, all the catechism teachers were honored with indoor plants and mementos as tokens of the community's gratitude for their selfless service. Rev. Fr. Denis Suares, the Director of ICYM Niddodi Unit, addressed the gathering and praised the ICYM members for organizing and executing a memorable event. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Annia D'Souza, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. MS. Anisha, the Master of Ceremony, efficiently compered the program, guiding the audience through the various segments.

The formal program was followed by a series of engaging activities and games conducted by ICYM members for the catechism teachers. The highlight of these activities was the prize distribution, acknowledging the achievements of the participants. To add a vibrant and joyful touch, the celebration concluded with a spirited Baila dance performance.
